POWER SYSTEMS

MODULAR ENERGY STATION (SEM)
Single- and/or dual-branch DC power station with switching rectifiers: power factor > 0.95 and efficiency > 0.9.
Wide output voltage range, optional rectifier redundancy.
The power station (SE) is equipped with digital battery charge control suitable for any type of battery.

CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR BRAKING ENERGY RECOVERY
Series ERI_SVM
Solutions for regenerating train braking energy.
Bidirectional grid-switched AFE systems enable significant energy recovery that would otherwise be dissipated by braking resistors.
Converting Power also offers various solutions with supercapacitor storage systems.

OVP - ACTIVE PROTECTION OF THE SUBSTATION NEGATIVE
Active protection against overvoltages in the negative traction circuit.
The solution is entirely implemented with static power devices, supported by electromechanical components.
The device complies with EN50122, which concerns protection against direct contact by closing the negative circuit to earth in a few tens of microseconds.
Sized to withstand current pulses of 100kA for 250ms, the device is capable of interrupting a high-intensity direct current.
CHP1
Current regulation chopper 250 Kw
Digitally controlled polyphase DC/DC converter for precision regulation of high power.
AC/DC solution with 0-300V output current regulation and 900A continuous current.
Suitable for industrial processes requiring high current and voltage precision.
ABS AUTOMATIC BRAKING IN SUBSTATION
Sistema automatico di frenatura a resistori in sottostazione - ABS
Automatic resistor braking system operated by power semiconductors installed in the substation.
By measuring the traction line voltage, the system adjusts the resistance to absorb the kinetic energy of braking vehicles.
This therefore allows for the reduction of the weight of on-board braking rheostats: essential for test rooms or vehicle test tracks.
