Digitally controlled polyphasic DC / DC converter for high power precision regulation. AC / DC solution with 0 ÷ 300V output current regulation and 900A continuous current. Suitable for industrial processes where particular accuracy of current and voltage is required.

TRACTION – RDZ

DIODE TRACTION RECTIFIER - TRA_RDZ

Natural air-cooled power diode electric traction group rectifiers; twelve-phase series or parallel reaction. The rectifiers are designed to be housed in metal enclosed electrical panels. The pull-out version on trolley is available on request. The rectifiers are designed according to the electric traction standards EN60146, EN50328 and EN50123.

TRACTION VCR

TRACTION RECTIFIER WITH VARIABLE OUTPUT VOLTAGE

Electric traction group rectifiers made with thyristors that allow the regulation of the electric traction direct voltage. The heart of the VCR is cooled in natural air. The brain is made up of digital cards that allow the regulation of the voltage and current supplied by the substation. Solutions for 1,500Vdc and 3,600Vdc voltages and power up to 4 MW.

RECON

BRAKING ENERGY RECOVERY SYSTEMS - RECON

Solutions for regenerating the braking energy of trains. AFE systems or systems with natural switching from the mains allow a significant saving of energy, which would otherwise be dissipated in braking resistors. Convertingpower offers various solutions also with accumulation systems using ultracapacitors.

ABS AUTOMATIC BRAKING IN SUBSTATION

SISTEMI AUTOMATICO DI FRENATURA A RESISTORI IN SOTTOSTAZIONE – ABS

Automatic braking system with resistors operated by power semiconductors installed in the substation. By measuring the tension of the traction line, the system adjusts the resistance to absorb the kinetic energy of the braking vehicles. It therefore allows to limit the weight of the braking resistors on board. Indispensable for rehearsal rooms or vehicle test tracks.

ST_OVP - ACTIVE PROTECTION OF THE SUBSTATION NEGATIVE

ACTIVE SUBSTATION NEGATIVE PROTECTION - ST_OVP

Active protection against overvoltage of the traction negative. The solution is totally realized with static power devices, without electromechanical components. The device complies with EN50122 relating to protection against direct contacts by closing the negative against ground in a few tens of µseconds. Sized to withstand current pulses of 35kA for 250ms, the device is capable of breaking direct current by hundreds of amperes.
